FAQ

Who delivers courses booked through BAFSA Training Centre?

All courses are delivered on behalf of BAFSA by appropriate qualified/and or experienced course tutors working within ABBE accredited training providers.  BAFSA works closely with its preferred training providers to ensure that course content is fit for purpose and supported by industry. You will be provided with specific course tutor contact details in your course joining instructions.

BAFSA preferred training providers are:

Llandrillo College (N. Wales)

Neath Port Talbot Group of Colleges (NPTC), (South Wales)

Sprinktec

West College Scotland

How does BAFSA select its Training Providers?

BAFSA only recruits reputable and appropriately qualified Training Providers. Before recruiting providers, preliminary evaluation is carried out to verify the credentials of the Training Provider. Once a Training Provider is recruited to the site, our continuous monitoring of QA standards ensures that Training Providers meet high standards of delivery. Any Training Provider who cannot maintain high standards will not retain their position on our site.

What is ‘remote learning’?

When we say ‘remote learning’ what we mean is ‘remote interactive learning’. What will NOT be permitted by OFQUAL Awarding Organisations is simply providing candidates with a set of slides, notes, workbook, etc, and them working through it on their own. There must be live interaction during all or agreed times during the course. The tutor must be able to see all candidates live and be able to communicate with them live, and two-way, i.e. candidates must also be able to speak. (Skype/Zoom are platforms which easily allow this kind of interaction).

Is my course fee payment booking secure and will I receive a receipt?

Are my credit or debit card details secure?

The BAFSA website uses secure online credit and debit card payment solutions for thousands of online businesses across the UK.

You can be completely secure in the knowledge that no bank details can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

Do I receive a discount for making a group or multiple booking?

Please go to the Contact tab on the portal, complete the Leave a Message form and press Send or contact (qualifications@bafsa.org.uk) regarding any discounts that may be available for making multiple bookings i.e. (10 + candidates)

What happens after a booking has been confirmed?

Once your booking has been confirmed you will receive an email with joining instructions relating to the course that you have booked. Following course completion/verification the Training Provider will issue any appropriate course certification, qualification certificate or attendance certificate directly to you.

What happens if I want to cancel a course booking?

If you need to cancel a course you must notify BAFSA by email, quoting your name and the booking reference. Unfortunately, we cannot process verbal cancellations. Your booking will then be cancelled. Unfortunately, course fees are non-refundable. You may be able to amend your course booking date/venue. This will incur an administration fee of £30.

What happens if a Training Provider cancels a course?
Fortunately this is rare, but it can happen. In the event of a cancellation, Training Providers on our web site commit as part of their terms and conditions to re-arrange the booking at another date and time acceptable to both parties and at the same value as the original booking.

Can I change the details of a candidate booked to attend a specific course?

Yes, candidate details can be amended up to 7 days prior to the start of the course. An administration charge of £30 is applicable

What do I do if I cannot attend a day during my course due to illness?

You must contact your course tutor to advise of your absence. Your course tutor will contact you to discuss your situation and what steps need to be taken.
